The Driver Improvement Program is designed by the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) as a driver rehabilitation program.

You may be assigned to the Driver Improvement Program for one or more of the following reasons:

• Referral by a District Court Judge

• Referral by an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ)

• Accumulation of 5, 6, or 7 points on your driving record

• Conviction or probation before judgment for a moving violation while holding a learner’s permit or provisional driver’s license

Once you successfully complete this course, we will submit your completion documents to the MVA within 48 hours.
